Douglas StevensAfter turning his back on a future in science, Douglas attended Massachusetts College of Art majoring in film and began writing music and comedy. He formed Gross National Productions, a 7-piece rock/comedy group, and performed around the country, opening for Frank Zappa and Sha Na Na. GNP recorded and released their debut album on Metro Media Records in NYC and is featured in The History of Boston Rock & Roll by Charles White III. Stevens co-wrote, directed and produced "Rockfights - Rich Amusement" with Howie Ritz: an irreverant, satirical musical comedy revue that was performed by The Open Door Theater Company of Boston in 1976. That same year he founded Handsome Brothers. Since then, he has produced thousands of music tracks for some of the largest corporations and advertisers in America. In addition to writing and producing music, or an occasional comedy or entertainment project, he appears regularly on dozens of radio programs around the country, including Howard Stern and Dr. Demento.
